Does anybody look at this board anymore? N0 I don't think so....as much as I like Colin, And appreciate the time and effort that he has put into it...I just happen to think that something has been spoiled along the way...and the board that we had encouraged people to put their thoughts into words th...

Here is the news.....That's your lot......For you comrade....your summer of indifferent flying is all over.....time to go back to hearth and home....draw the curtains....find that feather quill and green tinted ink jar...... 'Twas a year of misfortune....the crops had failed.... But....you must have...

saturday the 9th could just be flyable
well looking at the forecasts it looks like Saturday could be fine for flying even moneylaws or even Hownam. I think there maybe quite a few options as Model ridge lakes could be on, so you have to grab every chance before the really grim weather comes are way

Well.....I thought that this year had gone pretty well so far, until it dawned on me that the only reason it has appeared to have gone well is perhaps because it has been such a shit year for the proper pilots and my services as a forelock tugging retrieve driver have not been needed so much.....and...

Nice pictures, sad subject, brings tears to your eyes, lovely piece of poetry though, so right for the time that it was written in...... such a waste, but there you go, In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely s...

That was a very good flight Chris.....well done you!....and you have told it well, modestly and accurately....not blowing your own trumpet.... I hate this sport!.....I can have more fun smashing me fingers with a ten pound hammer than this sport ever gives me. Where do the proper people buy their paragliders from? The ones with the two position switch..."Up", and "Hover"...you've seen them they are always right there, a...

Another year over, another year older, and very little on the horizon other than high winds and bucketfuls of rain.....makes you wonder doesn't it? Why can't a brand new year start in the middle of June, when you can wake up with sunshine streaming through the window, and the promise of success thro...

Well…It was a van load of happy feet on the way back home from Clough Head on Saturday….even though a little earlier it hadn’t been so much a van, more a council rubbish collecting wagon, picking up the trash wherever it had landed down the road to Windermere, and even a little bit further…and I’m m...

Can't quite make my mind up about yesterdays flying at Wether Fell.....To say that you were enjoying yourself, and couldn't imagine a nicer way to fill your day in would be slightly untruthful.... That little bit of flying on East Hill on Friday afternoon has done wonders for me...Why...I almost broke into a smile in the car on the way home. And I suppose the other half a dozen proper people who were there felt exactly the same as I do.... Only they can't write with the joined up stuff, yet. ...

How this past year has flown…. I only wish that I could say the same thing about myself Someone must have coated the narrow neck of the Egg-timer with Teflon this past year ‘cos that sand has just slipped through like gang busters…and we’re all a year older, and greyer, but without the airtime that ...

If every day of this coming flying season turns out to be like yesterday, than I for one will be a happy man. To carry on driving from the cloudy, rainy east to very little changing in the west can be very disheartening, and when the stop at the top of Hartside yesterday proved to be in the usual pe...

Yesterday, Sunday, was a sweet day for me….. How about for you? Optimism is something which was in short supply when it became time for it to be dished out in my direction….so I settled for Pessimism….lots of it….. In fact I have an Iron cross, first class in the subject….but that being said.. I am fairly optimistic that sometime soon…the pessimism will expand s...
