Tandem rating
Hi. Gary, I'll give the BHPA a call tomorrow, they should of told you about my school and that I can do Paragliding & Hanggling tandem ratings. The BHPA have had to re-think the dual rating licence due to some accidents because of the lack of training and currency.

Tandem
I dont think the pilot had much control Ron. With all that weight hanging on one riser the glider turned towards the hill. ! If all ok..... Very lucky.
Pilots responsibility
If the dual Pilot decides he wants a helping hand to get off he must make sure that the helpers know what they are doing..
Why the helper hung on is a mystery ?

Hi Steve, onc'e through the inversion the thermals were ballistic ! I've had a wave flight in Scotland from Glen shee to 9,300asl with Colin Lark in the 1989 Scottish open HG comp. We flew 30 miles in a straight line ! 1985 Kosson, Austria. flew over a two week period averaging 12-14,000ft asl with ...

First decent XC from the Cheviot hills 1981
West hill to sunny Newbiggin, I remember flying through the inversion to 7,500asl then spiralling 6,000ft to avoid being blown into the SRZ..

Good meeting at the C.A.D. AGM and the NHPC had the pleasure of meeting The Duke of Northumberland ( Ralph to us now..) and I must say he was a very nice bloke and very approachable. Colin I am fully aware that safety talks are important thats why safety is on the agenda at every meeting.. so why stop an annual event to talk more about safety ? All clubs have members think they can keep on flying in strong winds and get away with it ! we can try to convert and that's all you can...

I don't think we are supposed to fly past the riding stables south of Crimson the owner has asked us to stay away. Does the riding stables still exist ?
Great !
Nice one Chris, how many days do you have to do with Paul to become PPG rated.
