There once was a swimming club who used a 100m X 30m pool 20 miles away to which they got there by bus. A new pool was built in the school grounds! However the pool was not used because it was 30m X 100m and they continued to drive 20 miles to the other pool.
Misk has asked asked and asked again for the winter XC League updates from Ronnie.
No one has submitted a NONE IGC flight!!!
We have adopted the National XC rules.... So who is the person who decides if a flight is in or out of ridge lift so this ridiculous X2 factor can be used? X3 this 2X that is this not gay? couple this with the cum dancing factor that a person has the decision that this flight is and this flight is not, makes for a whole load of crap to me.
The self amusment of putting this thing together has wayned sometime ago.
The IGC league is full of flights
The NONE IGC flights are 0
So why OH why can anyone tell me why are we still looking to someone/anyone to be manualy fannying around with gay x2 factors and crap like that and manualy working out the scours
LOOK HERE http://www.nhpc.org.uk/nhpc/modules.php ... 07&month=0
IT IS ALL THERE
OLC - Which is just as gay scoring wise as the National XC league
OPEN DISTANCE - Easy
FAI TRANGLE - Needs a little working on to get right
Also
OLC DISTANCE - The National XC league uses this and I am going to create another league for this.
Help me help yourselfs, I am loosing interest, and fast.

Just a minute Steve !
Just a minute Steve.... I did answer Ian Miskin post ! (14th march XC league) It might not be the full answer that he was looking for but I did answer !
Its quite obvious who is winning the Winter PG XC league, Gary Stenhouse. We have only 1 flight submitted from Steve Gill (HG) so its obvious that he is winning at the moment.
I am not going to work out all of the positions two weeks before the league is due to close and then do it all again !
There were quite few out & returns in the last week (coast) so all the positions will be changing again.
The Club decided to adopt the National XC league rules which look fine to me for the members who are interested in competition.
I am still more than happy to accept flights without GPS a witness & photos will do.

The national XC rules are fine..
However
It is a little anoying to say the least to do all this work to then find it is not being used.
Dump this frankly very very gay 2x 3x bollocks which if you look at some of the flight scores done like this for EG
http://www.pgcomps.org.uk/xcleague/xc/v ... -2446-2363
Great flight but is it better than a 51 KM open distance flight?.....
Use the National XC rules but dump the 2x 3x 1.5x crap then we can use this XC league fully. I have spent way to much time on it and the club now spends £259 per year on it.
As for NONE GPS flights?
Personaly if you aint got a Valid GPS IGC trk then you aint got no proof. Even with a photo and even with a witness you aint got nothing in my book, but this is a different story.

Good job done
You done a good Job with the XC league Steve, but I liked the Km instead of the OLC.
The 1x5 x2 were to give extra points for more difficult flights.
Next year the 'Winter League' will be National League rules so there should be no problems.

Like I say, looks like I have waisted my time.
If you think that the league only has the OLC score then you must not have spent more than 2 mins looking at it.
As for more difficult flights.
This was given x3
http://www.pgcomps.org.uk/xcleague/xc/v ... -2446-2363
To give 51.9 POINTS
Yet this flight
http://www.pgcomps.org.uk/xcleague/xc/v ... -2377-2326
Only gets 46.2
You tell me which is the harder flight to do? the ridge run with a little push out or the open country flight.
Our league would score 17.3km to the first and 46.2km to the second.
You tell me which is correct?
