If you feeling a bit rusty or want to brush up your techniques then read
below and consider meeting on SATURDAY 7th at the Castlerigg stone circle
east of Keswick between 10am and 11am. Departing at 11am sharp. Call me if

Last summer the Club arranged meetings at the stone circle just east of
Keswick for the first Saturday of each month from April till September. The
intention was to have fixed dates in the calendar to meet up and go flying
in a safe and helpful environment. Although having a set date on the
calendar was being a little optimistic with the weather, it did allow folk
to plan ahead. As it turned out we made the most of some splendid flying
days. For those glutton for more punishment we retired to the pub to cover
theory and techniques that would be too much information on take-off. If
the weather looks questionable, and you only want to fly, then call us
early that morning to see if it’s worth the drive.
Whether you need to brush off the cobwebs, find yourself stuck in a rut,
or just want to fly new sites around the Lakes, this is a social and
beneficial event. Coaching goes on almost every weekend, but if you need to
plan ahead these fixed dates are for you. Prior to the first Saturday the
CSC will be e-mailing club members the contact name and number for the day.
Non club members and visitors are welcome.
