HOT OFF THE PRESS .....HOT OFF THE PRESS.....HOT OFF THE PRE

Post by John Wallis »

Ian Miskin has just rang me to say he went to Broughton Heights for an evenings fly and ended up flying 70KM and being decked in the Cheviots. He reckons one more climb would have got him on the west face of Cheviot.

He's got a mans walk out from the boonies and could just see a road in the distance as we were talking.

Trace will be posted tonight when he gets home. Aussie Steve is the retrieve driver.

Well done Ian fantastic flight.

i am sure it was a fantastic flight but he did leave his car at tinto so i imagine a little more planned than a evening soaring . post cold front clearing from the north i new i would read about a big flight from ian today as the conditions were right for the man whos got the balls to comitt to such big walkouts.

well done ian hope you enjoyed the walk as much as the flight. one can only dream of such flights

Good one Ian  Do you get extra points for a cross border flight?

awsome flight ian looks like it might of been a tad windy looking at the drift on the thermals. looked like you got some nice glides? looks like if you had been at tinto early you could of done a 50 k at 12.30 then went back to broughton and done the 70 k.in the afternoon.

cheers gary

Very nice!!

Interesting how it all came to an end once in sight of the Cheviot's. :)

Must been the grumpy goblin casting his spell and making sure you had the correct credentials before entering his lair.
