Bullseye! The target goes tumbling down!

Post by brian day »

Please excuse me a moment of self indulgence and proclamation.
My paragliding year is the same as the financial year, (April to April) for no other reason than, thats when I passed my CP. So as this year draws to a close I have a warm feeling of satisfaction :)
I set myself a target at the beginning of the year to accumulate more hours this year than in any of my previous years. By the end of the summer I moved the goal posts to acquire 100 hours within the year. All looked well,,,,,until,,,,,,March.
BUT!!!!! last weekend,,,,YES!!!!!! :lek: :[]: :[]:
The hundred hours for the year came up, with a week to spare!!!!! :gu: :lek: :lek: :[]: :[]:
Sorry to those on the ground saying 'Come down Brian we want to go home', no, I knew exactly what I needed and wouldn't come down.
Thanks to the 'Van Gang' for making the target more possible and cheaper!
Now, on to next year!
PS; All achieved while holding down 4 jobs, supporting a very understanding wife, 2 dogs, 2 kids but thankfully no mortgage and with 6 weeks off chasing around the globe in search of waves and snow.
Flew on 6 different wings, (demos, you don't call me Sten)
2 Harnesses, (thanks ebay)
Flew in France for the first time
and numerous new sites, including the Homegrown, what a weekend.
Best of all.....All in great company.
Thanks again to everyone for help and support
See you out there!!!!!

Well done Brian, congratulations, hpe next year you can emulate the tale.
That's the way man, soon you'll find yourself doing flyes that you never expected to do before, etc.., the more you fly,the more you learn, the more you enjoy in the air..well done!
