Wish I had had a camera there today. He took off, did a circuit and crossed the runway at 90 degrees just below the hanger. The engine cut and we all ran for cover before the engine picked up again and he gradually climbed out to just clear the trees. Dave Hume still had the shakes half an hour later.

Did he have a crash hemlit on this time steve? those are the moments when you should have a camera.

It's not mandatory in a three axis machine, even an open cockpit type like that, though you have to where one in a flexwing. The regs can be strange sometimes...
