Do I stay or do I go now

Post by cookbot »

I'm in the the process of finishing my camper van off (VW T25) and have 7 weeks off uni now. Well, I'm thinking I should give myself 2 weeks or so to get it ready, then spend a month down the south of France/the alps and was wondering if I should take my paraglider along with my mountain bike, road bike and climbing rig?

I've never flown outside of the UK and was wondering is foreign flying that little bit more technical? A few of you may have seen me bumbling around on the hill and might be able to suggest something, be it a location, guides, or not bothering at all. Just seems a waste as the Uk is generally pap for anything sport related!

Thanks Paul

UK weather can be as good as anywhere else in the world it can also be just as bad ! but the good thing is we don't get hurricanes and huge tornados..

Where ever you end up talk to the locals for site information and weather conditions for flying (a must) you will find the flying is different but great.

Have fun 8)
Maximise your time & dosh do both Hanggliding & Paragliding :)

Sounds like a great idea mate, wish I could head over too!
Do a bit of research on where you're heading & look for a local guide. An experienced local guide will get you flying somewhere (y)
