I will be righting a safety update on how to deal with landing on power lines for the CSC safety bulletin and will forward to yo...

Details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1030...
Hay guys, sorry you missed the LCC. You may not have noticed but the CSC reduced the numbers of entrants by 20 which I suspect is a main reason for the comp filling fast. However the Buttermere Bash will still be going ahead as normal, with a full sized charity comp attached. Jocky is going to capta...

Go easy on yourselves guys as it was only a 60k triangle in the real world without that silly xc multiplier getting involved. You guys have done this flight many times just not pushed as far out west. I've only flown xfell once and said at the time it is prob the best site for out and return flights...

Many years ago I sat in a beautiful tranquil field in Buttermere and let my imagination run away with me. Over several years my little acorn of an idea has grown and matured, bringing more and more talented and wonderful people each year to share our little bit of heaven. This year besides having so...

Clough Heads site problems 6/4/13
It has been reported to me that around ten pilots (mainly or all not CSC members) flew on Clough Head yesturday and chose to land in a field to the north of the normal landing fields without any concent being gained off the farmer. The farmer approached a local pilot and was very upset at this occur...

2 days on Cairngorm..
Sorry if you have a proper job, but here's what you can do if you don't https://vimeo.com/55681403
Oh and Brians comment about the accident. The result of the investigation pointed to the fact the pilot had drunk 3pints of beer just before flying that day as a large factor leading to the incident more so the the resulting damp conditions when the pilot chose to heavily try and pump big ears out i...
Bloody he'll Fingers I though you were dead, I'm chuffed I managed to shake your happy little bones back into life! So you've never flown a wet wing then? Shame just think how much more flying you could of had and it's much more fun being soggy, didn't you know that? Might even have put a smile on y...
It wasn't me but.... It's more higher rated modern wings that have issues when wet, increased stall speed etc. However lower rated wings will fly fine even if they have just come out of a lake, infact the best way to dry a wing is to fly it. Forward launching will be tricker but with a bit of wind r...

Was a low cloud base on Saturday and suspect nobody else bothered to fly, however for those of us with speed wings we had a brilliant day.... Latrigg three times and Falcon Crags twice. As ever crank your speakers up and enjoy the ride... (Oh not one for the faint hearted).... http://vimeo.com/36619...
