2007 Hang Gliding Club Comp

Post by John Wallis »

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the above as next month we are handing out the awards/cups and we haven't got a winner for the H.G. Comp yet.

Is there enough interest/pilots to keep this old competition going?

Bad choice of words there John....Old?...as in past it?
Its the only competition in this club that carry's any weight as far as some are concerned...all else is dross!
I can't really see a meaningful competition being held this late in the year but I could be wrong.....Stranger things have happened...

We could settle it by a race to the bottom field, but P.R. would smoke us both.
We could settle it by counting the broken uprights around a top landing spot, but Dave Hume has more experience.
We could settle it by talking a good flight, but who would beat Ronnie at this?
And, we could settle it by arm wrestling, but I just don't fancy me chances against a gorrilla like yourself!
Lets wait until we are next out...look ahead, ring around, then see if we can cobble something together subject to time and place .
Sounds like the way to go to me, and if nothing gels....
Its only a Larf
I love you!

We might even get another day on Moneylaws this Sunday. The local TV forecast was saying the front is clearing from the north and the wind speed up in the borders was showing 15 mph. More wind further south.

Club Comp HG

I can make the 25-26th Nov for a hg Club Comp... or if someone would like to run one this weekend or the next go for it !

Its short notice and if you look at the list of HG pilots who like comp's, have a wing, are fit and ready to go... you will find there are not many.

Next year will be very different !!!
Maximise your time & dosh do both Hanggliding & Paragliding :)
