Well i'm back from Morroco after a cracking week of sun and sand and many hours flying....with my newly signed off CP Get in!
So I now have my mebership to NHPC in the post and sand in my rig. The plan is to get some air during the next weekend (weather permiting obviously).
Having discoverd dune flying in morroco i would really like to do more of that ie low level soaring with loads of leaned turns and small walks! I have been told that there are a few site in the north east that are particularly good for this (for the UK anyway)
So my question is where are the best sites for this within a couple of hours drive of newcastle?
I am interested in club sites and any others that are known about, thanks!
Be very wary of going over the water......
but this was a great day...dont think its a go..er for tomorrow tho.
Well done on getting your C.P Take it steady and you will have many many happy times.
Forgot to mention spenk, when you are flying the dunes or cliff ridges don't follow the others who have valuable experience and fly around the headlands !!! stick to the ridge and build up your knowledge and confidence safely.
Hordon always has a bottom landing, Seaham & Crimdon dene can be a bit tight with a high tide.
Cheers.
Maximise your time & dosh do both Hanggliding & Paragliding
