December meeting party and awards night

I have all the trophies back from the engravers now and they look very canny. We also have second and third shields for both hang and para gliding (XC League) I have kept a file open as the year progressed and made a note of any of the flights/events that have caught my eye and it makes interesting reading and it's good to reflect on. Will you get a mention at the awards night and a gold star against you name? you'll have to be there or be square to find out. Brian will be naming the winners of the NHPC team competition which is very close :o Wendy Patterson will be assisting me with the awards and has promised to wear her hot pants especially for Ali Guthrie.

After her fund raising and searching the world Claire Smith will come forward and will say a few words and present to this years winner the Gary Porter Trophy for the best 1-2 pilot of 2009.....Not to be missed.

I;m sure Chris Little will be adding a few words below as there's food and drink too :P Let's see a really good turnout for the last meeting of the year and look forward to a better 2010

Oh yes,,,,,very close!!!!!
Last month's calculations saw the Bashfull Buzzards with a slender 1.5 points lead,,,did they hang on to it?
The results are in, presuming no one takes off today in these lovely conditions and does a quick flight to the Lakes via the washing machine in the Helm Bar, I think all the calculations are done!
To find out the final result you will have to there at the meeting!

with the beautifll weather today there may be an opportunity to get a last minute coastal run ti scarborough as its a perfect east north east.

not a hope looking forward to what is normaly a fantastic evening though this year it looks like i will be sitting at the back.

great work john for making all this possible

Sounds like a great night in addition to the awards theres a free buffet for all attending, a good party atmosphere and an open bar (but not free)

there will also be a free raffle with loads of prizes. Yesterday I spent hours (well about 5 minutes really) searching the shops in the galleries for suitable airsports type prizes :lol: :lol: :lol:
