Online Sites Guide

Post by Mikey »

This is just a quick note to let the club know that the on-line sites guide has just moved to a new home (not that you would notice!).

This is due to the fact that I am taking a step back from the sport so it doesn't make sense that I continue to manage it. Instead Anto has agreed to take it on and it has now been transferred to him.

The entire current sites guide has been recreated on one of Anto's servers as it stands today and he has taken over ownership of the domain. This is so there would be no impact on the club and all the current links from the forum continue to work (Colin: it looks like the image on the home page is no longer valid but the link is fine so PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy of the logo to replace it).

As part of the transition I've also created a simple logon page so that club coaches and site officers can easily get on to edit content. This replaces the sometimes problematic link between the two that was supposed to log you on automatically. Anyone who needs a logon username and password should PM Anto.

Finally, thanks for all your friendship over the years. I hope you continue to have good flying.

Thanks Mikey, the guide may not be used to it's full potential, probably more indicative of flying in the Cheviots and pilots insecurity with NOTAMs than the usefulness of the guide.
Still a very visual and useful tool for all pilots.
cheers,
Brian
