Am I going mad

Post by bill-scott »

The other night I dreamt I was naked on top of some very high wobbly scaffolding.
What does this mean, :?: am I going mad, was it the two pints of shandy or was it because I had just agreed to be the club chairman again.
I knew Gary was going to stand down and thought I would step in and try to relight the fire of camawadawawyy as it seemed to be burning a bit low lately.
The first thing I want to do is thank Gary for doing a great job for the last three years his enthusiasm has done more than anyone to get us motivated and get our arses out flying come rain or shine. (clap)
To start with I would like to concentrate on getting the meetings better attended so firstly we have secured the room for the next 14 months and the program for the next few meetings is sorted.
November is the annual auction but also before the meeting Ron freeman will be doing a demo reserve repack as a prequel to a repack day we are hoping to have soon.
December will be our presentation night and meal  (dance)

January meeting is going to be the second Wednesday of the month as the first is too close to New Year. As for entertainment Colin Chapman is penciled in to give a demo and talk on hexocopter, s and show some absolutely amazing aerial video
(What’s a hexocopter come and see?)
So were off to a good start a venue for months ahead and three months meetings sorted all we need is you :!: :!: :!:

I was shocked to find out that we now have less than 50 paid up members. We seem to have a steady trickle of new faces coming through the door and we need to keep a hold of them.
That’s why I think the social side of the club is just as important as the flying. We must make new members feel welcome and keep them interested in the dark months when we can’t get our feet of the ground. This can be best done by having well attended interesting meetings just like we used to in the good old days when miller was a lad so no excesses one evening a month’s is all it takes to keep the fire of camawaddawery blazing.
Looking forward `to seeing you all in November
p.s. I really did dream about being naked :?: :?: :?:

It was the dream that you are the new club chairman after a bare knuckle fight with the other candidates. You are in fact naked on top of some scaffold and should seek advice from the safety officer on the appropriate protective equipment to wear

Well done Bill , congratulations on becoming chairman and good stuff on outlining events for the 3 months ahead. I have learnt a huge huge amount from ali's two talks and look forward to similar information sessions etc , one day my personal circumstances might even allow flying more than once or twice a year !!!
