Another HG converted
Just had a call from Peter Rutherford telling me Gordie has signed him off today he's even passed the exam. But what is even better news is Gordie has suggested he does the SIV course when he's out in Turkey with us.

Jesus...that was quick I was just about to post a new thread congratulating Peter myself. I think John that you must of known he'd passed before I did!
Congratulation though to Peter on a well deserved and truly earned c.p. It's only taken just over a year to get there but you have obviously learnt the patience which this dimension of our sport dictates.
Peter qualified today at Bewaldeth in an increasing wind, not the easiest or most friendly of conditions. But Peter dealt with the whole situation by himself, launched flew and then had to speed bar to get forwards eventually for a well executed bottom landing. In the mean time I took his son Calum for a Tandem and I think we may have another convert there.
So in retrospect a very competent paragliding c.p., who with his wealth of flying knowledge will no doubt be out there laying the gauntlet down for you all soon. Good luck Peter and I look forward to spectating on your future flying achievements.
P.s. don't forget how crap our paragliders fly though compared to your hangy, sure John wallis can fill on you on a few of the differences!

Well done Pete. About bloody time though! I thought you were already qualified, especially when you marked the beginning of the thermal last year at Lords Seat for me
Another person to watch, I'll soon have thermal markers all over the sky, so I guess I'm running out of excuses!
