Sorry Alistair, I'm doing the trail breaking for the following Geordie invaders. I'm off to Congleton on Wednesday morning, hoping to get some training in on Friday in the Peaks before making the final push south on Friday afternoon.
See you out there!!!!!

The weather is not looking brilliant for the weekend...... Rain all day saturday, then Easterlies with showers on Sunday....

HOWEVER....

Friday is looking a cracking day... 8mph westerlies. I have spoken to the sites officer at the Long Mynd, who is more than happy for us to fly there.

For site details look at:

http://www.longmynd.org/site_guide/show/1

Both AliG and Chris Foster flew there last week.....

I am probably going to travel down late afternoon Thursday, and camp at or near the Mynd, fly there Friday, and then on to Llandinam which is only about 20 miles away.

Excellent Gary!

Just been sussing out the other teams...... SE Wales looks fairly formidable, with at least 3 instructors in their ranks.

But with all our pre comp training tomorrow we should be a finally honed flying unit!

I was just looking at the NOTAM alerts for this weekend when I noticed one near the Long Mynde area.

Starting tomorrow, if you're going XC and heading west north west and find yourself heading between Telford and Wolverhampton then look out for the V festival. There is a temporary restricted area up to 5000 feet and 1.5NM radius.
