Due to the F&M outbreak all our farmers are very concerned. Some have already asked us not to fly but I am trying to get consent for local pilots who have not been flying outsiude the county in the last three weeks to be allowed to fly. SO from now on all northern CSC sites are not only member only but also local pilots only, anyone who has flown outside the county can (south) can not fly.
This is the only chance I have of keeping the site open and it is very important we all follow this rule. Also anyone going flying should contact the farmer first to make sure they are happy, very important.

Thank you all....
O.K. I thing in the light of how the Outbreak is going we can relax the restrictions which we have had in place and all get back to normal, apart from Bewaldeth which for now stays closed.
At the beginning of the week when I started to contact farmers they were all very nervous about allowing us to fly, often because they were concerned what their fellow farmers would think if their were paragliders all over their land. I spent some time this week visiting many farms in the Lakes (often where we do not fly) to let them all now that they only people that would fly were from around this area. This approach impressed the farmers and allowed us to keep our sites open, and probably nothing but help to promote our image even more.
So thanks to all thoughts pilots who have flown responsibly at this delicate time and lets hope this is the last time we have to go through such a farcical situation.
