Saturdays flying.

Post by AlastairW »

Wind looks Southerly tomorrow, with a possibility of flying Blease Fell...

I have rang Gordie who is more than happy for Northumbrians to fly the Cumbrian sites. But please speak to the farmer first if there is no evidence of people flying. It is the southerners who are banned.... including those people who have been "Darn Sarf" at the Mynd..... your wings have to be quaratined for 3 weeks....

Wind is forecast to pick up during the course of the day, so either an early morning start or possibly a trip over this evening??

I am considering an evenings boat about on cross fell, then driving over to the lakes and camping... bright and early start in the morning...
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

I agree with you Gary but looking at the chart I think Xfell might just shade it. The Lakes will get the rain first I fancy there might be just enough west in it. Failing that as you say Blease.

Wind drift S.W. 15mph at base which is about 3000ft at the mo in the Lakes. Due to get a bit damp so stay east or even the dales today.
