The cheque has been paid and I have the keys to Chateau Milkhope. I think Bill might be staying there by himself the night before but he was a bit scared :)

They did ask if you were using a bunk to take a sheet to keep the mattresses clean? I'm just taking my sleeping bag and the midgy net for my head. I think as long as we don't spew on there beds it'll be OK.

Just to say we are privileged to use this place as it is very much on trial to public clubs and we have been invited back :)

Tell you what I was convinced someone was following me up the stairs today

The window shutters were on and it was quite dark walking up the stairs it's a very eerie place to be by yourself.

Anyway Milkhope is in splendid condition they have done lots of work on it since we were there last. Bill here's a link I've made for you to start the Genny as you'll be there before me due to my work committments

https://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=https% ... =gAQEbqYKM

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... 739&type=1

Instructions to get there again are drive to Rothbery straight on heading for Alwinton just before Alwinton take a right signposted Clennell Hall continue but don't turn into Clennell Hall set the trip on your speedo and travel 3.7 miles on the track for Kidland Forest only one turn which is a right hand hairpin Milkhope is on the left with a sign saying NHPC

If anyone want's to go up a little early and help Bill set things up I'm sure he would be glad of the help Im stuck at work until 5.30 and can't get out of it.

some of us are planning to do a mountain bike ride, probably a 7 to 8 mile loop round the local area. There are some good trails there. if you wana go, be ready to set off from Milkhope at 2.00.
