John, try the Eusing cleaner.

http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cle ... leaner.htm

Just press the 'skip' button to get past the registration page.

Also, as a good general 'spruce up', 'spring clean' etc., for your PC, try downloading Crapcleaner from:-
http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Get rid of all sorts of ermm, well, cr@p!!

I'd recommend: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/prog ... hijackthis
to get rid of unwanted stuff starting up when you log on.

If you know what you want to get rid of, you can always got to: Start > Run > type "regedit" and click ok. Enter "local machine" > "software" ad delete the registry folders.

WARNING!!!

Unless you know exactly what you are doing (which excludes about 99% of the current NHPC members) do NOT go anywhere near the registry. You could render your PC very useless and in need of someone who charges loads of dosh to fix!!

After hearing your using a PC with win 98! Feeling sorry for you Bill I had a quick look for you.

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/ ... egory_oid=

For the dosh this is a champion bit kit. Personaly it could do with 1ghz of memory (£30 or so) which would really put a spring in its step

Even if I used a PC for 10 mins a week I would rather spend the £160 than use what could only be describled as a broken computer at best. Life is way to short to be waisting it needlessly. That comp at PC world will be 50 times faster than the crap your using. Do yourself a favour Bill

one mo .................

Just checking my PC world shares.......

Yes most def the PC for you.!!
