British Club Championship 2008

Post by AlastairW »

I am already getting emails about next years BCC.

The format will be the same as this years, and I am sure we can get at least one team to the final......

The question is, do we enter two teams into the comp?

It does require a huge commitment..... potentially crossing weekends out in your diary, which then turn out not to be flyable, and you then get grief for not going away to Auntie Gertrudes for the weekend.....

But the positives outweigh the negatives by miles..... I certainly had some of the best weekends away that I have had in years....

Chris and Kay will no doubt remember the "nooo Kay... noooo your hurting me!" incident in the peaks....

Neil with his potholing exploits that reduced me to tears.....

The night spent camping in the mist on Model......

So firstly, I need to know who would be interested in competing. And you have to be committed..... no getting to Penrith and deciding you cant be arsed to walk up Jenkin.....

Secondly..... Is anyone willing to organise a round/rounds in the Northumbria area?

Finally.... we are STILL awaiting our trophy...... I am told it is on its way..... maybe in time for Christmas????
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

If things go to plan, I will have left the wonderful world of work behind for ever by next spring :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

So I should have the time (aunt Gertrude and others willing) :D :D

But I'm still a shite pilot :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

So you probably wouldn't want me anyway

So where an I going to get some XC experience quickly :P
