I have used Endsleigh travel insurance for trips abroard for a few years now without any problems they coverd paragliding in category 1 of there activity policies and the premium was about 20 quid .
But yesterday when I was trying to get some cover for a trip to spain I noticed that paragliding was no longer listed in the sports that they cover.
There website has just been upgraded and paragliding has been changed to parascending however hang-gliding is still there so I phoned them to try and find out if this was a mistake and do they still cover paragliding or not
Not suprisingly nobody there could tell me so after waiting 2 hours for a supervisor to phone me back all they could say was if its not listed its not covered.
s while i was waiting I found this on tinternet http://www.etravelinsure.com/adventures ... urance.htm
£15.80 for up to 10 days

Paul and I took this insurance for our recent trip to India. They do cover paragliding and it is at no additional cost to their standard travel insurance. However, the excess, if you do need to claim for a paragliding accident is £500.
Just thought I’d mention it as I called up the company to clarify when the cost was so low.
Wow.
Insurance you get nothing for nothing in this world, and if you have to call on them they could be along time Coming? For that price. So if they have to bring you back home do not be surprised if it is in a rowing boat, paragliding is a dangerous sport.
