On the A1 yesterday £1.30 a ltr!!!!!

Thinking balls with it, I am going to stick vegi oil in and to hell with the consequences....

A quick search on the net and .................... vegi oil £1 per ltr!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be happy to take a chance on only getting another 30k out the engine if I was saving half.

Wait a minute..................

How many miles do you get out of a horse?

is it a handy option for the short trip?
Can you still legally keep a horse on any bit of common grass (or something like that)?
How much is a horse?
will you be able to just ride it, chain it to your chosen piece of grass when your finished with it, after all I dont want to be its friend, I just want to use it till it dies then sell it for glue and buy another....
Does the above statement meen it could be uneconomical?, depends on the price of horses!!!
Not forgetting those pesky do gooders "oh my goodness!!! you cant keep a horse like that!!! it needs to have a 12 tog continental quilt, regular checks by a vet, more to eat than grass, strokes and cuddles, company to talk about its day, and a roof over its head with a nice little flower basket at the door"..... Nonsense I can hand those fools off, this is progress and not one can stand in the way.

So just to recap

If you can get a horse for, say £300.00
Total miles before death 5000 = 6p per mile
Cost of up keep £0
Trade in at the glue factory = £150
Bringing the total cost per mile down to a very reasonable 3p!!

To ad more comfort, to which insodently I will be doing as I have no desire to mount the foul creature, one could simply tie a toe rope to the filthy beast and you could still be traveling in the same stile and comfort you have come so accustom to. However when on holiday with the caravan I feel two beasts may be needed to provide a satisfactory rate of progress. This would increase the overall cost per mile but still keeping it at a very attractive level.

There's a unit next door to us in Washington selling some sort of dodgy cooking oil for diesels! Cars pulling up all the time to be filled up. Not £1 litre though not too sure how much.
As for horses we have one and my bank balance will testify that it is far cheaper to run a fleet of Ferrari's!!!!!!!!!!!!
