A welcome from Edensoaring Club

Post by brian day »

I asked for access to their website, after receiving the third degree, they realised I wasn't a spy or a member of a dodgy religious sect, however, being a floppy pilot, (but only after a box or so of wine) did mean that the privilege of access did take some time. Presumably they were looking into the mental stability of members of the NHPC. I must have fooled them because they let me in! The following email accompanied my Username and Password. Will this give me the inner knowledge to fly as far and fast as they do? Only time will tell.
It was probably me he is referring to in his email, waving???? I was screaming as well,,,,he must have heard me, :o

Brian, thanks for this. I have waved at some of your pals when flying from Skelling. I think they were waving back!. Really good of you to get in touch, let's keep in communication. Any of your group would be welcome to come and say hello and get a cup of tea off us.
It would be useful for us to talk about how we can fly together in the safest way. It is a big ridge , but as we know, the areas of lift are smaller when the wind is not straight on the hill.
Anne and Richard Walker are running the next gliding "week" which includes the next 2 weekends, and I am sure they would be happy to welcome you or your members if you paid us a visit.. Then it is the last weekend in july to first weekend in August. After that it will be about the 6th of sept. , also a week in October. Should be busier next year.
I shall allow you to log on as an Edensoaring member so you can see the dates.
My mobile is 0784 997 9572, and the club mobile is 0784 997 9575.

Best wishes, Pete Whitehead Chairman, Edensoaring
See you out there!!!!!

Excellent work Brian!

Now we know who to get in touch with when we need to scrape you of the front of one of their gliders......

:D :D :D :D :D
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

I joined their site about a month ago and have been keeping an eye on it but there's not much happening. Mad Dog was at their landing strip the other week speaking to them also. They are mainly pilots from down south that come up here to fly in God's country.
