When it comes to paragliding John Sylvester is God..fact!
When I was first getting into the sport in the early 90's John was leading the way, hacking prototype wings apart to change the trim to his preference, competing internationally and knocking out distances, on wings with worse performance than today's DHV1, that the big boys would be proud of today.
If anyone else fancies finding out what 'true paragliding' is all about from this understated pioneer I wouldn't mind lift sharing, maybe we can form a possie?

Hi Everyone
Attached is a booking form for the SHPF Gathering. I am not clear on the evening arrangements yet, but there is likely to be something happening, possibly hosted by Gordon and Tina, who some of you will know from Olu Deniz. I'll post soon when I know more.

Just another reminder about the SHPF gathering 24th / 25th January. Attcached is a flyer for the John Silvester talk.
A couple of local pilots are having folk back to theirs after the talk and should be able to provide accomodation depending on numbers (probably floorspace, but should be a good party!). Please PM me if you are interested - there should be plenty of van parking!

Having been to John Silvesters talk at the SHPF Gathering last night I would recommend that if you can get along to the one run by the CSC on 6th March then do so!
I wish I had the guts to do even a fraction of what he has, but being as I haven't it was fascinating to hear his tales and see the photos / videoclips of some amazing places.
Try to get there - I'm sure you'll find it well worth the effort,
