Flying at Moneylaws today, Cloudbase !

Post by ron freeman »

Beautiful day on Moneylaws. After talking to Bob Sutherland on top of Moneylaws telling him how good the conditions were and he was at work  took off flew straight into a thermal (now't to do with the hill) and over the back after five mins flying, cloudbase 3300ftasl.

Good start to the season after a 3month lay off, well pleased.

Who said you don't get to cloud base in the Cheviots....

Thanks to Jacquie (my wife) for the retrieve and the hot cup of tea ! 8)
Maximise your time & dosh do both Hanggliding & Paragliding :)

Nice one Ronnie....My opinion of you has never altered.....
You are the Man......
Expecting more action than words off you this year though.
Those people who think that there is no good flying to be had in the Freeman's are wrong....and Monylaws is a gem of a hill for leaving, with lots of lovely hills behind it to drop back onto....and the thread of the
A697 will always be woven into your flight if you bite the bullit after Wooler and commit yourselve to the badlands to the west of the road...
But hi!.....who am I to tell you how to fly cross country's.?
Did it feel strange...relearning all the stuff you havn't used for so long...how to stay at cloudbase....what to do next....?
I take it that you didn't get past Wooler?.....Was that your rigid wing?
Nice one...Whatever.
