well it was looking a little windy to fly today so we got the 1st leg of our Hadrian s wall walk out of the way and I used my iphone to track our progress just to show anyone how great this SW is for flying. After we finished I emailed the track which also attaches 2 files one for google earth the other in GPX format which can be used to log your flight to the XC League. Anyone with an iPhone should check out this awesome SW for free off the App Store. I loved it so much I bought the full version at a whopping £1.79 and believe me it beats my colour £300 garmin it has terrain maps for flying as well as road maps for biking/walking so check it out at www.motionx.com

Excellent bit of s/w. Unfortunately doesn't appear to be avail for WindowsMobile GPS devices. Shame.
