LCC 2009

Post by colin keightley »

Just like to take the chance to thank all those that organised the LCC this year, even though the comp had to be cancelled and we had some crap weather it was still a great event with some Acro on the friday night while the weather was just manageable for the guys performing and some speedwing splashes from Gordie and the lads on saturday.

Great Effort Guys, and hope to see you all next year hopefully with some better conditions.

Bye for now
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country

Definitely second that :)

The talks by Jocky and Kitt were really good and saved the day for me on Saturday - free tuition for 3 hours :)

Comp directors did their best given the crap weather, we nearly flew Carrock. Plenty of good ale, good crack and of course the occasional wet landing  made for a great event.

How many places can boast their mayor flying in with his own autogyro, then handing out the prizes wearing his mayoral bling :D

Four weddings and a funeral song was the theme for the weekend.... primarily cos it was sung by Wet Wet Wet!

A rather damp weekend, interspersed with some brilliant talks by Jocky and Kitt, especially Kitts " I flew a 40k triangle, and it was to early to land for a pint, so i flew 65k open distance" talk.

We are not worthy!!

NHPC turn out was brilliant, as ever.

And still some acro and nutter helicopter flying.
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

Wet Weekend

Post by GlennP »

The LCC was even wetter for those that landed in the lake!!!! :D

Talks by both Jocky and Kitt were great. I loved the bands!! 8)

Was only expecting the usual covers band or tribute act. Hats off to Gordie for pulling these acts out of the bag!

Great atmosphere and camowadewie from the NHPC bunch.

I learned how to programme my GPS properly and continued my carry down training from large hills.
You are only as good as your last flight........
