Now this is what you call "early" planning!!
Does anyone have any good info on family sized villas in Olu Deniz.
Looking for somewhere that will take 2 families (4 adults + 5 kids), during summer 2010.
Have had a bit of a search around google but any recommendations would be most welcome.
Cheers
Dave.
Olu D - Villas??

I have been to Olu twice now, and haven't come across any villas as I don't believe that any exist there, but I would suggest trying Hizaronu (spell?) which is immediately behind Olu. It wouldn't cost much to get into Olu by an excellent bus service.....about £1....and there are also loads of resturaunts and things for the kids to do, and more shops if that's what the ladies want.

Andy is right, I am pretty certain there are no Villas in OD itself.
The nearest place would be Hisaronu or Ovacik at the top of the hill. Bit of a pain if you are there for the flying, as you would need to get all your gear together, go down to OD, then get a truck back up. It also makes it impossible just to nip back if you have forgotten something
However, given the cost of hotels in OD, I would opt to stay in an Hotel there.
I would highly recomend the Mercan Beach, just 100m from the front, nice pool, and a bar.
And book through www.travelrepublic.co.uk

It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........
Thanks Alastair and Andy,
That's pretty much what I'd kinda realised looking at Google.
The village above OD, Ovacik, seems to have quite a good choice of villas but as you've recommended a hotel Alastair, we'll look into that too.
How long is the bus ride between OD and Ovacik??
Thanks again - keep em comin'

10 minutes.....
But factor in walking to the dolmus stop, and waiting, and it is probably nearer 25 minutes.
Stay in OD centre!
It really is a luxury staying in an hotel virtually on the beach. Breakfast is prepared for you, comfortable rooms, cleaned every day, ahhhhhhh....
I must resist the urge!
It has that effect on you..... drawing you back with its seductive charms.
I have been more times than I can actually remember.... probably 8 times in the last 5 years.
And you will make great friends.... Mahonei the nutter acro pilot, and Mercan, the princess of OD, who also does some mean acro.
I used to get upset when I left the place... the drive up the hill, leaving friends and fun behind. Now I just accept that I will be back in a few months.
And if you work it out in pounds per minutes flying, it is actually pretty cost effective, especially if you go early in the season.
