You can sometimes go off around the country in the search of the km but you definitely will not get the feeling of been up there with all your mates going XC or just ridge running.
The reason why the camaraderie is as important as the flying, it was great to hear so many people on radio heading off into the wilderness.
What a day long may it continue?

i know when i got back to the hill wendy was the only one flying or should i say trying to get down. woody never flew as he was on his pg. ross had 1 hour flying then spent a further hour trying to get down. i could see tony derigging his googamos at the bottom. i heard dave hume was gibering with exitement though bottled it to go xc. so all in all i think they had a good day but no open xc done.
