Anyone Flown in Mallorca?

Post by Jim Bittlestone »

Hi All,
Off to Mallorca at the weekend with Heather and the kids and I'm wondering whether to take the wing to keep my hand in? Has anyone flown there, if so which sites would you recommend? I would imagine that a fair bit of local knowledge would be handy due to the size of the island and the airapace etc.
Cheers
Jim

Try Geoff Wilson. I believe he's been to a site near Alcudia. Mountains to the north end of the island are very impressive but I've never seen any paragliding there.

Blimey Jim. Just back from a flying holiday, now off to the beach with the wife and kids and you still insist on taking your wing to abandon them to flying while you're over there. How do you get away with it????

Hi Jim I have seen people paragliding on hill in the East of the island when I have been on approach to Palma.

Hi Jim,

I had the same dilemma a few years ago and did some digging on PG Forum re flying there and I came to the conclusion it wasn't worth the effort as the flying wasn't that good.

Save your baggage allowance and have a relaxing time in the sun.
