how's this for flying

You may be interested in this news. Bruce is with John ( from Portmoak) and Roy ( Aboyne) in Argentina. Bruce is flying today and the weather is looking good. he has put in over 80 hrs gliding in the last 4 weeks, with two 750 km flights so far so should be ready to do some exciting things. 5 out of 7 days have been wave conditions. Wind speeds 80-90 kts, and if you get down to 9000' you have to quit or else you are in trouble. You can land on airfileds, or crash, and they are 50 miles apart. Sounds fun.

Just heard that John Williams has not only completed his first 1500km out and return, but he has broken the WORLD record, at an average speed of 180.33kph.

He has also broken 10 or 11 national records in doing so.
