Pretty normal for the Cheviots then?
So the comp is on,,,,
'The Cheviot Chase'
1st place to the pilot that finds a hill that has the wind on the face at a flyable wind speed for more than 10 minutes
2nd place to the pilot that manages a top to bottom
3rd place to the pilot that gets blown over the back without getting more than 10ft ato
Prize giving and BBQ at the landing field,,,,,,,,if you can find it!
PS Paul says you can't boss him around!
See you out there!!!!!

kay, bit of help.. there may be a slim chance of 'Hownam' may be soarable but showers could spoil the day and if we do use this site for a comp we must ring Will and let him know we are coming because of the numbers.

Other than this East hill or Humbleton may be ok but less soarable..

Thanks for info Ron....It would be great to get a Club comp in before the end of the year..how-ever I think we should only call it if things are looking a better chance of some reasonable flying.
I know we are now late in the year but ''Just Soarable'' ''In Rain Showers''
''Variable wind direction'' I think is not good enough to call a 'Club Comp'....Maybe a wee chase around the hills to try & catch a flight but a Club Comp has to be on a Worthy Day.....Plus did I read Gary et al maybe off to Carrock :???:
