hey Brian your right, come Tuesday I will be living in Blyth!! New house, Wooohooo.

Looking at the amount of vacant cups for grabs i recon a 10 meter leap from the Sluice heap with a brolly could take one.

First pilot to fly over the top of the Cheviots in both directions & still the only pilot to do so in the thirty five years flying these hills Iv'e must have clocked up around 2,000 miles !
Wrong actually! I've even landed on the Cheviot and taken off again na na na na na na I must have clocked up more than 100000 miles not flying but driving back from the Cheviots in my car after the sea breeze has knackered a good XC day :)

Er... John, I did say in both directions ! and your wrong about landing... you told me that you were blown onto the top because the wind was too strong to get forward !!! now thats very different to landing

I have never live in the past... always looking for the next challenge and still the current International Bognor birdman champion

Yes in both directions Ron been there got the tee shirt and yes on one occassion the wind was too strong but never the less it was a landing. While we are on the point of crossing the Cheviot and any pilot is in the position to do so give it a go as it's not as bad as you would think there are loads of tracks and some small roads if you blow it. Plus if you're on a PG walking out won't be too bad.

Mr marshal will you be getting a smoking jacket and a rocking chair for that bay window, as I can just picture you in the window growling at the passer buys.
