Weather phenomina spotted

Post by brian day »

As we pulled into the carpark at Hartside cafe, just to our right, towards the Eden Valley there was a Svenfartus.
Gary spotted it first, the rest of the crew were not convinced as we had never seen one before. I've read about it in books and seen pictures but this one had a silver glow to it rather than the red ones I'd seen in the books. After looking for a while we were all convinced, shame we didn't have a camera it was an awsome sight.
After flying all day in the freezing conditions, (it was a great days flying with the sart of thermal activity and some good height gains) a person was seen running along the side of Jenkin witha very unusual gait, we think it was obviously some sort of pre historic Cumbrian probably of the neonatal era,,,,strange folks these Cumbrians.
Maybe it was the cold, or just the infusion of joy in the Happy Bus!
See you out there!!!!!

Surf crazed and dazed
