Alicante with Doyouwanna

Post by AngusB »

Well under Gary's advice I'm hoping to book up soon with Nick at Doyouwanna ( http://www.doyouwanna.net ) to hopefully enjoy a week of perfect conditions in Alicante :D :D :D
However, I need my reserve checking over & fitting before I go, can anyone in the club do it or am I better to hope Aerofix can fit me in before I go?
Any advice for insurance too?

Cheers (beer)

Does your reserve need repacking or just fitting into your harness ? as for insurance shop around it can be cheap or expensive but how good they are depends how they react when it hits the fan and hopefully you will never need to find out Ive used endsleigh a few times but I think they might have changed there policy as far as dangerous sports goes but still worth checking out

Cheers Bill,
I bought it a while ago & it probably needs a repack as I've never had one done on it. It's a Team 5 Orange ST steerable reserve if that makes any difference.

Try an online quote from J P Insurance.
AeroFix reserve repack and fit to harness is about £55.

remember your in europe so long as you have ehic then you will be treated no problem, insurance will cover you if you need repatriated back to the UK.

i think nick is on holiday in the next week and for the reserve i would get a steerable reserve done by someone who knows what they are doing

i am out there in august if your still there

cheers gary

Thanks everyone, I'm going to get in touch with Aerofix tomorrow & have a trip to the Lakes this week if they can fit me in.
I can guarantee the weather will be great as soon as my glider is handed over so get your stuff ready!
Nick is away til the 7th July so will be back before I go.
