We got there and it was still windy with some pretty big build ups around. After an hour or so ground handling the wind eased and we climbed up to the lower take off still in tee shirts soaked with sweat and shorts. We took off and had an hour of excellent flying before the wind dropped . Well worth the effort and if the body has any life left in it tomorrow we might do the same again tomorrow night (ninja)

Anyone planning a repeat on X Fell this evening - XC Weather's showing SW 6mph later so could be on for an hour or two.

I'm planning to go as build up doesn't look too bad in Allendale at the moment.
