hanglider and paraglider speed difference

Post by gary stenhouse »

just looking at average speeds between mine and brians flights and the speed difference is nearly double on the mean speeds. it just goes to show what speeds is poddible to fly in on hangliders, although brian did get the most out of the day. maybe next time, for me i was happy to get a flight in and get a good landing where i wanted to land. still this takes a lot of consentration to get it right at the moment but with time i am sure it will become second nature.

It just means that you will get there in half the time,,,,,,,if you actually get there!
If your's is a need for speed, then all well and good, but at 4 grand the visual impact of speed will be nil and it's only the visual impact which gives the excitement that the speed freak requires to fulfill his need.
By the time you rig a stick insect the paraglider will be well on his way, hare and tortoise comes to mind, and we all know who wins the day,,,,every time!

and all of that without a breath a coomer or a pause. and wait untill you see my new head pulley you will be so eager to get5 one.
