well had a litlle run up northunberland with ariff in the hope of flying. well we ended up at longknowe with blue skies and sunshine. light westerley gave us a open distance out front of 1 k. i know wat your thinking you wish you were there to get such a big distance. so with such a thrilling flight i was coaxed into another flight with glen new pilot this time open distance was my aim. i thought 110k in south afrika try a 2 k fly down from longknowe. so i sciked myself up and just went for dropped through the inversion took control of the glider after a full fruntal flat spin followed by a full stall just in time to make the 2 k mark.
what a day feel fitter and healthier with all the fresh air and a couple of good walks cheers gary
with all thosebig flights i was inspired at longknowe

I know that feeling - tried flying Jenkin today and enjoyed two walk-ups due to a touch of premature ejaculation cos I was excited at there actually being a breeze "sort of" on the hill - wasn't enough though despite some furious scratching:(
Chris Field waited and got a nice soaring flight.
By the time I had walked up again, the wind was getting up as forecast and more off the hill. Chris plus James Jackson and Pete Rycroft had landed by this point and with the increasing gale hanging in evidence decided it might be a good idea to fly out of the lift and orographic and land again
Still it must be doing me good or something:D
