Payback Time

Post by Jim Bittlestone »

Hi all, Im camping in Keswick with Heather and the kids until 9th August, which almost certainly means that wind, rain, hail and snow will occur until the 9th.
If the wind does abate, i am currently paying back the goodwill afforded to me by Hev and the bairns over the past few months to get a pass out later .
So give me a call if you are heading over here for a weather report.
Today was kayaking on Derwentwater, windsurfing and the Whinlatter Go Ape rope course.
Sunday was listening to dad slaver on about some thermal or other!
Im back on the 5th for work so i may get to the meeting.
Cheers

The lakes is now the lake, residents are now taking to the hills to escape the rising water.
We left late on tuesday night.
Home now and dryish if it wasnt for spending the day at wet n wild getting a diy colonic, (should sort me roids out).
Looking for a last minute holiday abroad now, trying to rescue the situation. I need those brownie points.
Cheers

BBQ Summer it's official according to the Met

Spent the day in Keswick at the campsite where the kids were flooded out. Didn't look a great place to be early on, rainy, cold and water halfway up the wheels on the caravans. Some tents were almost totally submerged.

Later on it got a lot nicer and I even managed to get my reserve packed and routed on the PPG harness at Aerofix so a trip to rainy Keswick had it's plus points.
