Walking the boundary of Northumberland

Post by John Wallis »

Good friend of mine Andy Maidwell decided he needed to get fit after giving up smoking so set out a plan to walk around his favorite county of Northumberland. He's trained since April but I had him down to fail as I thought it was just too much. 230 miles in 12 consecutive days. But with help from his friends and family he did it and raised 10k for the NSPCC. I joined him on 3 days to help him get over the bad lands as I've carried a hang glider out of most of them :) and know them quite well.

I did the blog for him it's worth a little browse if only to see how far the guy has walked.
