The hassle and trouble that cross country flying causes, retrieves, no phone signal, loved ones worrying that your lost, friends that no longer fly with you because they end their day looking for you, long walks,,,,and so the list goes on!!!
But is there a greater buzz, a greater sense of achievement, a bigger disappointment when it ends too soon?
Well, as the title says, I’ve been looking,,,,trying to find a way to avoid the retrieves, the broken friendships, the frustrations. The answer I’ve found so far,,,,err,,NO!
Or in the words of the famous game keeper,,,Ner Nah!
Things were made so much easier yesterday, it’s the first time I’ve been the recipient of a technology retrieve.
Following the technological brain numbness on the hill, 4 experienced pilots trying to enter a waypoint into navigation devices,,,without success, it was quite a surprise!
Huge thank you to Live track 24, Gill for coordinating things from the home PC, Gary for coordinating the ground activities and Medhi for driving and arriving with a smile!
The perfect retrieve, land, one phone call, I’ve landed, it’s ok, we know where you are, pack away, walk 400m send map via ‘telegram’ wait 10 mins, car arrives!!!
Now that’s the way to do it!
I've been looking,,,but can't find it!
